On a slightly cloudy, somewhat cooler summer day, this incredibly beautiful wedding took place in the Hochkönig region. For the getting ready, we gathered at the stunning Jufenalm, which exudes unique boho vibes in the Alps. The atmosphere was dreamy, the mood full of anticipation, and the preparations for the big day flew by.
Afterwards, we took the Hochmaisbahn chairlift up into the mountains to the Steinbockalm. Since it was quite chilly due to stronger winds, the originally planned outdoor ceremony was quickly moved indoors, offering a stunning view of the Hochkönig through the large panoramic window. There, the groom and guests were already waiting for the bride. As she entered the room, all eyes, of course, were on her, and a few happy tears were shed along the way.
After a highly emotional speech by Cornelia and a few words from some of the guests, the first highlight of the day followed, as the couple expressed their love for each other in the most beautiful words. Once they exchanged rings and shared their kiss, a wave of applause erupted.
The mood in the afternoon was incredibly lively and couldn’t have been better. After cutting the cake, I stepped away from the scene with the couple for a short while to capture some first photos of them as newlyweds. They clearly enjoyed having a few moments to themselves away from the crowd.
The afternoon flew by, and soon the celebration moved indoors, where a short speech from the couple was followed by a delicious meal awaiting everyone. Once everyone was well fed and refreshed, it was time to hit the dance floor. For the first dance, the lights were completely dimmed, allowing the newlyweds to enjoy their calm and intimate dance by the romantic glow of candlelight. That the party rocked even harder afterwards goes without saying.
A beautiful day in the mountains came to an end, with the starry sky appearing above the Steinbockalm while the celebration continued indoors late into the night.
