An old, unassuming four-sided courtyard in the middle of nowhere in Lower Austria. At first glance, it doesn’t necessarily stand out as a wedding venue. But once you step into the courtyard and see the care and dedication with which the incredibly friendly owners have furnished and decorated the space, you immediately realize how much potential it holds.
When the plaster peels off the brick walls, all sorts of vintage furniture is scattered around, no chair matches another, and lots of fairy lights set the mood, it quickly becomes clear that this venue is something truly special.
I was all the more delighted, on the recommendation of a dear colleague, to have the opportunity to photograph such a beautiful wedding here. I think the smiles of the bride and groom (and of course all the guests) speak volumes and perfectly illustrate how joyous the atmosphere was throughout the day. Dancing, laughter, and celebration continued into the early hours of the morning. For me, there’s simply nothing more wonderful than witnessing such moments and capturing them forever in images.
